Today, the Sustainable Banking Coalition launched the #EUSwitchBanks campaign to ask the European Commission to put its money where its mouth is: opening a bank account with a sustainable bank and move part of its EUR 190 billion budget there [and away from the world’s most polluting banks it currently uses!]  Why? Did you know that every euro held on a sustainable bank account would have up to 6x less negative climate impact! 📢 Celebrating #WorldSavingsDay with a Valuable Lesson in Karditsa! On October 31, 2024, Cooperative Bank of Karditsa, represented by our CEO, Panagiotis (Panos) Tournavitis, in cooperation with the Hellenic Financial Literacy Institute, had the pleasure of engaging with young minds at the 1st Primary School of Karditsa. Panagiotis (Panos) Tournavitis presented to the three senior grades, highlighting the importance of World Savings Day and fostering an early understanding of the value of savings. In a gesture that symbolized the day's message, each student received a coin bank, a small step toward instilling healthy financial habits.  We extend our heartfelt thanks to the school’s Director, Mr. Apostolos Mouzinas, the dedicated teaching staff and the Parents' and Guardians' Association for their warm invitation and for supporting this meaningful initiative.
