After a careful selection, we are in the fortunate position of having gathered a great team of young colleagues, who will join #GreeceVYAP in its mission to promote #arbitration in #Greece and make it more accessible to the younger generation of lawyers. Today, we would like to introduce you to our Social Media Manager: Vassileios Plakoulas, Social Media Manager Vassileios is a Junior Associate in the Arbitration Department of Dryllerakis Law Firm. Vassileios is actively involved in domestic and international arbitral proceedings under the rules of the most well-known arbitration institutions, and he also has experience in arbitration-related litigation. He is a graduate of the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and is currently pursuing his LL.M. in International and European Commercial Law, Banking Law, and Arbitration/Mediation at the International Hellenic University. #GreeceVYAPteam #teamwork #socialmediamanager

Today, we would like to introduce you to our #Vis Pre-Moot Team. #GreeceVYAP is planning to follow-up on the long-lasting tradition of pre-moots for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and organise a pre-moot in Greece. Stay tuned! Irene Chartzi Irene is a recent graduate from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has participated in and coached multiple teams in prestigious moot court competitions, including the Skadden FDI and the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition, earning several awards for written and oral advocacy. Alongside her studies and mooting, she has gained experience in dispute resolution, corporate and competition law through internships at leading Greek law firms. Beyond law, Irene has a deep appreciation for cinematography and classical music, having played the piano for as long as she can remember. She also dedicates her free time to learning new languages, embracing the challenge of mastering different linguistic and cultural perspectives. Anastasia Meleti Anastasia is a fourth-year law student at Law School of Athens, with a keen interest on international dispute resolution. She holds a degree in Political Science and Public Administration with a specialization in International Relations, which provides her with a multidisciplinary approach to legal issues. She has been involved in multiple research projects and was a member of the team representing Athens Law School in the 2024 Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot. As member of this year's Trade Law Clinic and a member of the newly established International Law Review, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to legal scholarship and research. #GreeceVYAPteam #teamwork #premoot #vispremoot #Athenspremoot

Our Newsletter Editorial Team: Stavros Tsiovolos, Editor Stavros Tsiovolos is an International Arbitration lawyer based in Paris, France and registered with the Athens (Greece) Bar Association. He has experience as an Intern at Wordstone Dispute Resolution AARPI (Paris) and White & Case LLP (Paris, International Arbitration), representing clients in high-value and politically sensitive matters. He has been involved in arbitrations under the auspices of ICC, LCIA, ICSID as well as UNCITRAL proceedings. He holds an LLM in International Arbitration from Panthéon-ASSAS Université (Paris II) with first-class honors. Katerina Tsitomenea, Editor Katerina Tsitomenea is a legal professional with a strong focus on international law and arbitration. Her academic journey includes studies at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, complemented by advanced training at the Cornell-Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne Summer Institute and the Arbitration Academy in Paris and Geneva. Through ICC workshops and specialized courses, she has developed a solid foundation in international arbitration and dispute resolution. She has also gained practical experience in corporate and commercial law, training at a leading law firm and contributing to high-profile financial transactions and litigation strategies.
