During Thessaloniki International Fair 2024 I had the honor of moderating a panel on "German Software Made in Greece", organized by the German Hellenic Chamber of Industry and Commerce, where we explored best practices with German software companies operating in Greece. The event kicked off with a thoughtful address by Nikos Tzollas, Vice Governor of Digital Governance in the Region of Central Macedonia, followed by a captivating presentation on the rise of AI, its applications, and its societal impact across Europe by Martha Giannakoudi, CEO of Synnous Consulting GmbH. During our panel discussion, Constantin Kontargyris, Stelios Gikas and Harry Kastanas, all leading German companies operating in Greece for the past few years, presented, among other topics, their own experiences regarding the Greek ecosystem, the cultural differences, the challenges faced when first entering the Greek market, lessons learned, and finally the prospect of more German companies coming to Greece.
