👋Hello and welcome to ONCOSCREEN, a €13M flagship project funded by Horizon Europe 🇪🇺 research and innovation actions supporting the implementation of #EU's Mission on Cancer and focusing on the development of new methods and technologies for cancer screening and early detection. Here's a little bit of information about us 👇 ✔️ The ONCOSCREEN project will develop new technologies and methodologies for low-cost colorectal cancer screening and contribute to raising awareness on the disease and its detection. ✔️ The project consortium comprises 38 partners from 15 EU member states and associated countries. It brings together technical solutions partners, medical professionals, cancer research experts, cancer patient associations, and policy makers. ✔️ Only 14% of European citizens participates in cancer screening programmes. There is an urgent need for accurate, non-invasive, and cost-effective screening tests. 🗣️NEW BLOG #ONCOSCREEN has published a new blog on our website written by project partner CCassured CRISPR-Cas is an adaptive immune system in bacteria and archaea that destroys genetic material of foreign invaders in a precise manner. Scientists have repurposed this system and its precision for gene therapy and diagnostics applications. Last week , #ONCOSCREEN Project Partner Simon Van den bergh of VITO presented a poster at the European Cancer Organisation’s event “European Cancer Summit 2024”. The poster was titled “Language as a Barrier to Colorectal Cancer Screening in Flanders – An Ecological Study”.
