With the forthcoming Airportcity Link, Hong Kong’s #SKYCITY development is set to get a complete connectivity upgrade! The first #autonomous mass transportation system in Hong Kong will operate on Airportcity Link, a dedicated vehicular bridge integrated with a pedestrian walkway. It will seamlessly connect 11 SKIES, a new landmark within SKYCITY, with the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (#HZMB) Hong Kong Port in just 3 minutes.  This transportation system will connect the HZMB Hong Kong Port and 11 SKIES, carrying 500 visitors per hour per direction and targeting 2,000 visitors every hour in the future, effectively opening up the massive GBA market. This seamless linkage between SKYCITY and HZMB will create an exceptional travel experience and attract visitors to 11 SKIES, the game-changing Retail, Dining, Entertainment and Business Hub in the region. The expansion plan of the Airportcity Link also outlines that it will thoroughly connect SKYCITY with Tung Chung town in later stages, providing convenient connectivity with the MTR and local bus services. Exciting news about the SKYCITY development! Airport Authority Hong Kong has just awarded the tender for the development of the city’s first autonomous mass transportation system. This system will operate on the vehicular bridge Airportcity Link, connecting Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) and SKYCITY.   The autonomous vehicles will shuttle visitors between the Hong Kong port of HZMB and SKYCITY in just 3 minutes. And the SKYCITY stop will be conveniently located on the 1/F of 11 SKIES, fully upgrading the entire travel experience of the SKYCITY development and the retail-dining-entertainment destination 11 SKIES.   At the initial stage, the system can carry 500 passengers per hour per direction, with a target to increase to 2,000 passengers per hour per direction and further extend from SKYCITY to Tung Chung town centre, Lantau’s main residential area, in the later stages.   A heartfelt congratulations to our strategic partner Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings Limited for winning the tender via its subsidiary’s KCM - PML Joint Venture.
