We are transforming waste into functional art through our collection of Upcycled Furniture, eco-friendly pieces designed to enrich our neighbourhoods while promoting environmental awareness. This project is part of our GoCircular platform, a Group-wide programme launched in 2022 to foster a circular economy by encouraging communities to “reduce, reuse, and recycle” for #AFutureWithLessWaste. Our collection showcases stories of innovation and community engagement across Hong Kong, including: #ChinaHongKongCity’s modular furniture created from upcycled plastic; #OlympianCity’s barrier covers repurposed from waste plastic bottles collected in collaboration with V Cycle; #LeeTungAvenue’s public seating created using upcycled materials in collaboration with students from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design (PolyU Design); and #LandmarkSouth’s upcycled bench, which was inspired by Bennet’s Hill and made from locally collected household plastic waste that would have otherwise been sent to the landfill. As the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation (NTFCF) marks its 15th anniversary, we are grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting the community. At this year’s NTFCF Annual Year-End Donation Ceremony, we were honoured to support 100 charities and religious groups dedicated to areas including elderly and youth welfare, education, mental health, community services, sports, arts and culture, and support for ethnic minorities. Our shared mission is to empower the underprivileged to enhance their upward mobility. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Miss Charmaine Lee, JP, Director of the Social Welfare Department, for her presence, which inspires and strengthens our commitment to promoting societal well-being. Additionally, we were delighted to celebrate the achievement of young talents at the Ng Teng Fong Scholarship Award Ceremony. This year, we recognised 182 outstanding Form 4 and Form 5 students from less-resourced families for their academic excellence, exemplary conduct, and commitment to community service. They join a remarkable cohort of over 8,500 students from Hong Kong and Mainland China who have benefited from this initiative over the past ten years. We also wish to express our gratitude to Dr. Jessica Tam of the The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) 香港社會服務聯會 (社聯) for attending the ceremony and supporting this meaningful cause. The holiday season is upon us, and we are excited to celebrate it with our fifth Upcycled Christmas Tree and Ornament Design Competition.  This year, we received over 180 creative entries from 680 colleagues and their families, who embraced the transformation of recycled materials –including glass bottles, capsule toy containers, cardboard, coffee capsules and plastic bags – into stunning and functional Christmas decorations. Their unique designs are now on display across our properties, including #TsimShaTsuiCentre, #OlympianCity, #SkylineTower, and #GoldCoastHotel, enriching the festive atmosphere while inspiring our community to embrace more eco-conscious celebrations. The competition showcases the remarkable talent of our colleagues while reinforcing our dedication to environmental responsibility in our operations, culture, and community initiatives. We are promoting sustainable habits for #AFutureWithLessWaste through our Central Recycle Stations, designed to make recycling easier and more accessible across our properties.   These stations are part of our GoCircular platform, a Group-wide programme launched in 2022 to foster a circular economy by encouraging communities to “reduce, reuse, and recycle”.   Located in common areas at our properties, our user-friendly Central Recycle Stations provide convenient solutions for waste reduction. They collect a wide variety of materials, including Tetra Pak containers, toner cartridges, glass bottles, and metals, among others. Through these Central Recycling stations, we hope to to make it easier for residents and tenants to recycle effectively, reduce carbon emissions, and embrace low-carbon living.  Join us in shaping a community defined by circularity. We are encouraging public action for #AFutureWithLessWaste through our GoCircular Corner, a space built with—and for—sustainability.  This initiative is part of our GoCircular platform, a Group-wide programme launched in 2022 to foster a circular economy by encouraging communities to “reduce, reuse, and recycle”.      The GoCircular Corners acrossed our properties offer more than a place to pause and relax. Constructed using EcoBricks—upcycled from seven types of plastic waste—its seating areas embody our commitment to circularity. Recycling bins, made entirely from 100% recycled waste collected by V Cycle and locally designed by Gaau1 Up, provide an easy, accessible way for tenants and customers to sort three types of plastic waste. Earlier this month, we brought together over 900 colleagues attending in person and virtually for our annual Corporate Townhall Meeting. It was a great opportunity for colleagues to connect, network, and share updates on our journey. Our Department Heads from Hong Kong and overseas presented this year's key initiatives, upcoming challenges and resolutions, as well as future plans, offering valuable insights into our strategic direction.
