We are proud to have collaborated with Young Living for over two years, focusing on the collection and recycling of plastic and glass bottles. Together, we are making strides toward a more sustainable future, one bottle at a time. Reflecting on last year, we celebrated Young Living's 10th anniversary by creating vibrant umbrellas and other useful products from recycled materials. This project not only highlights the beauty of repurposed materials but also reinforces our commitment to reduce waste to landfill.

We are excited to announce our collaboration with Pacific Place , Hong Kong, to launch the V Cycle Green Beauty Recycling Program! Through this initiative, we aim to collect your used cosmetics and skincare containers while providing simple sorting jobs for our underprivileged communities, helping them increase their income and improve their lives. Recycling Bin Location: **Pacific Place, Admiralty** Next to the concierge desk on Level L1 (near Marimekko).

Recycling not only helps reduce waste on our beautiful planet, but it also creates meaningful job opportunities for our elderly community. We are deeply grateful to each and every one of you who support our work. Your kindness truly makes a difference! 🙏🏼💚

V Cycle has been proudly partnering with Sino Group since 2017, working on various sustainability initiatives, especially in #recycling and promoting a #CircularEconomy. Sino Group's commitment to sustainability is truly inspiring, particularly their partnership with EcoBricks Ltd, fostering a circular economy in Hong Kong. This year, we've #reMade eye-catching, functional, and durable barrier covers for Sino's Olympian City using recycled plastic. These covers not only look fantastic but also serve an educational purpose, demonstrating the value of recycling!

“Now For The Future!” – L’Oréal Hong Kong Supplier Day 2024 – A day of shared commitment to sustainability.   Last week, we had the pleasure of inviting over 20 strategic suppliers to our inaugural Supplier Day that was filled with fantastic atmosphere of collaboration for a sustainable future. Together, we had meaningful conversations to strengthen partnerships on sustainability, and engaged in insightful panel discussions on our decarbonization and Inclusive Sourcing journeys.   With L'Oréal Group’s ambition to achieve net zero by 2050 and the fact that our Scope 1 & 2 emissions linked to our own sites is less than 1% of the Group’s total carbon emissions, partnering with our suppliers throughout the value chain is absolutely critical! In Hong Kong, we are working closely with many suppliers to transform the way we do business, from driving sustainable consumption, eco-designed POS, digital CO2 reduction, to green transport, and much more!   A heartfelt thank you to all our valued suppliers – your partnership and support drive our sustainability journey forward. This is not a journey we can walk alone. 🌍The Recycling Challenge in Hong Kong: A Call to Action Generosity is one of Intact’s core values, and it truly shines during the company’s annual Generosity-in-Action Campaign. This initiative raises awareness about helping others and giving back to our community ❤️ In our Hong Kong office, we recently spent an enlightening afternoon with V Cycle to participate in recycle activities and learning from their CEO & founder, Eric Swinton, about Hong Kong’s significant waste and recycling challenges. The city's waste management system is struggling to keep up with the growing volume of waste. Despite efforts to promote recycling, the city's recycling rate remains alarmingly low. In 2022, Hong Kong generated approximately 11,130 tonnes of solid waste daily, with food waste alone accounting for about 3,300 tonnes—enough to feed over 3-6 million people for a meal. This is staggering, considering the limited landfill space available. The total weight of plastic bottles disposed of per day is equivalent to 5 million containers⚠️. With a population of 7 million, the number is excessive! It was inspiring to learn from Eric about V Cycle’s ambition in tackling Hong Kong’s environmental issues on both ecological and social levels, empowering the underprivileged and protecting the natural world. 🌍🌻 We can all play a part in addressing this problem by raising awareness and making small changes in our everyday lives—like bringing your own water bottle instead of buying bottled water, bringing your own lunch once a week to reduce waste of single-use food containers 🥡, and using energy-efficient appliances⚡💡 By starting with small everyday changes, together, we can make a difference! #Intact #IntactHK #IntactLab #GIA #Sustainability #CommunityGiving
