Join our team as a part-time Knowledge Hub Officer in Denpasar, Bali and help us empower caregivers and communities through education and innovation! We are currently implementing a project to enhance the capacity of caregivers of children with disabilities (CwD) in Indonesia so that they can become advocates for their children’s growth and access inclusive, high-quality early childhood education. This process will be supported by a Part-Time Knowledge Hub Officer who will help manage and enhance Empatika's Knowledge Hub for this project, ensuring accessible, user-friendly, and updated resources on inclusive education, assistive technologies, and participatory research for caregivers, educators, and policymakers. We are pleased to be involved in supporting the equity assessment for C40’s Kawasan Nol Emisi Terpadu (KNE), or emission-free zone, Jakarta project. Last month, C40 Cities and Vital Strategies held a kick-off meeting alongside the assessment  partners including Empatika, CENIT, Populix, Katadata Green, and O2 Consulting. This project aims to accelerate Jakarta’s progress in improving its air quality through planning an integrated emission-free zone or KNE. With support from Breathe Cities, a partnership between C40 Cities, Clean Air Fund, and Bloomberg Philanthropies, Jakarta will develop a feasibility assessment and implementation roadmap for this initiative. We are pleased to be supporting the HPV Vaccine Acceleration Program Partners Initiative (HAPPI) Consortium in Indonesia, together with JSI and Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) in exploring adolescent girls’ experiences and identifying barriers related to the HPV vaccine. The HAPPI program aims to accelerate HPV vaccination among girls, while promoting equity and program quality. As part of exploring both the challenges and potential solutions related to the HPV vaccine and vaccination for girls more generally, earlier this month Empatika conducted human-centered design (HCD) workshops with adolescent girls and their caregivers. This will then be followed by a dissemination workshop with vaccine stakeholders this coming January to discuss the ideas and solutions from the HCD workshops and possible implementation by different stakeholders.
