We are proud to announce the appointment of 12 new tutors to join our existing tutor network. The tutor recruitment process was completed to extend the depth of knowledge of disability inclusion training and to help build greater capacity to deliver more workshops both online and in-person nationwide. Active Disability Ireland are delighted to share our Research Report: Teachers' Experience of Physical Activity for Students with Disabilities. Within the school setting, teachers are responsible for ensuring that all students are included within physical activity, however, the reality for many is that there are barriers which make this difficult. This report sheds light on some of the challenges faced by teachers and how they can be better supported to deliver inclusive physical activity to all students. Active Disability Ireland were delighted to attend the #BeActive Day final conference with EuropeActive in Brussels last week. Our CEO Brenda O'Donnell shared insights of the importance of disability inclusion in physical activity and highlighted how campaigns like #BeActive can help to increase knowledge and understanding of disability inclusion across the sector. Thanks to Karl Dunne, Val Sizychas and all the team in Ireland Active for supporting us to present at this event it was great to catch up with you over there.
