✈️ A Special Farewell to @Ryanair's Captain George O’Hara from AirNav Ireland's Dublin Air Traffic Control Centre. This month marked the end of an incredible journey for Captain George O’Hara as he touched down in Dublin Airport for the final time before his well-earned retirement. It was a pleasure for our team at AirNav Ireland Dublin ATCC to light up the tower and guide him home safely one final time. At AirNav Ireland, we strive every day to ensure the safety of pilots, crew, and passengers, just as we did for Captain O'Hara on his journey home. With decades of dedication to the skies, Captain O’Hara has left a lasting legacy in aviation, inspiring many along the way. From all of us at AirNav Ireland, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the next chapter. We are so deeply grateful for his kind words and appreciation - it truly means a lot to our team. It was an honour to be a part of his farewell flight, and we wish him nothing but blue skies and tailwinds in retirement! ✈️ #AirNavIreland #DublinATC #Aviation #Ryanair [📸Photos with thanks to Diarmuid Rogers/Ryanair - Europe's Favourite Airline, Fred Kelly/Raw Dublin and Kerry Airport Ireland ]

👉Today's meeting with Dr Peter Kearney Phd, CEO of AirNav Ireland, provided an excellent opportunity to discuss a range of topics including how we will manage the challenging growth of air traffic in #summer2025, common projects and the progress we are making to strengthen cooperation between EUROCONTROL and our key industry partners from across Europe. 📌 It was also an opportunity for me to thank Peter for his strong support and contribution to the European air traffic network in his role as #ANSB (Air Navigation Services Board) Chair in 2024. This board brings together representatives from the military, air navigation service providers, airspace users, and airports from across the EUROCONTROL Member States, ensuring that our Agency benefits from the input of all our #stakeholders. 👏 A big thank you, Peter Kearney Phd, for your continued engagement and for being such an active voice in shaping the future of our sector!

🤝 Our CEO Peter Kearney Phd had the pleasure of meeting with Raúl Medina Caballero and Enrique Fraile-Riesco at EUROCONTROL today for an upbeat discussion on topics of mutual interest. ☘️ There are many positives in terms of overall performance in Ireland and its contribution to the Network, and we have a solid Plan in place to ensure our customers continue to receive an excellent service for years to come. 💶 We recognised the great work being carried out throughout the Agency, including the CRCO and ACE. 🌍 We discussed progress in relation to joint projects on Collaborative Decision Making in addition to other capacity enhancing measures. ✅ We explored how to continue improving stakeholder engagement as EUROCONTROL follows through on its strategy, and look forward to a reenergised Network Management Board. ✈️ The partnership between ANSPs and the Network Manager is valued and continues to progress alongside other key industry stakeholders 🙏🏼 Peter thanked the Director General and the Chief of Staff on behalf of ANSPs, Airports, Airlines and Military representatives for the excellent engagement with the Air Navigation Services Board (ANSB) of EUROCONTROL.
