Cork, for an insightful day exploring their world-class manufacturing operations and innovation journey. The visit included: ✅ Overview of Alps Alpine – their impact on automotive, medical devices, and IoT markets ✅ Plant Tour – experiencing cutting-edge production processes ✅ Innovation Case Studies on: ➡ Quality Management & Continuous Improvement ➡ Developing In-House Automation ➡ Alps Alpine’s Sustainability Journey With 400 employees and a 56,000 sq. ft. EPA-licensed facility, Alps Alpine is a key player in advanced electronics manufacturing services, delivering fully traceable products globally to automotive-grade quality standards. Their expertise in SMT, moulding, decorative parts painting, laser etching, test development and automation exemplifies excellence in modern production. 🙏 A huge thank you to Stephen McCormack, @Jerry O'Brien, and @John Foley for their warm welcome and for sharing their expertise. 🌍 Supporting Manufacturers on their Sustainability Journey 🌱 At the atim cluster, our focus is on helping companies accelerate innovation, adopt digital tools, implement sustainable practices, and enhance manufacturing competitiveness. A key challenge—and opportunity—for our members is the CSRD regulations. Based on member requests, we established a Sustainability Special Interest Group to tackle this shared challenge, provide access to best-in-class expertise, and ensure companies can navigate sustainability requirements efficiently while remaining competitive. 💡 What We’ve Achieved So Far: ✅ 5-Day CSRD Bootcamp in partnership with FactoryXChange, KPMG and ReSHAPE providing practical support on sustainability statements and double materiality assessments. ✅ Carbon Footprint Calculation Workshop led by Robin Kent, in partnership with First Polymer Training Skillnet, equipping members with the tools to calculate their product and site carbon footprints. ✅ Collaborative Learning – this group thrives on shared knowledge, engaging key expertise to help members not just comply, but excel in sustainability through our regular online and in-person knowledge-sharing sessions We are thrilled to see our members embrace sustainability as a growth driver.
