This strategic acquisition marks a major milestone for Kollect, allowing us to expand our capabilities in the physical collection and treatment of waste, while continuing to drive innovation in the waste management industry. 🌍♻️ This acquisition is expected to boost Kollect’s revenue to over €15m in 2025 and strengthen our margins. 📈 Congratulations Kollect CEO, John O Connor and the incredible team including Morgan Lalor MSc BSc, Jamie Walsh and Jack Starling and solicitor PJ Kiely of De Búrca Greene Solicitors for their relentless efforts to make this happen. And a special thanks to Beach Point Capital Ireland and UK for their ongoing support of Kollect's growth (and Peter Brophy). This is a big step in our journey from a customer-centric brokerage model to becoming a principal service provider. At Mashup, we remain committed to investing in Irish SMEs and helping them thrive through capital support, advisory, and strategic direction. ❓Do you prefer to get the bad news or the good news first? In credit investing, the bad news first is good, as told in this tour through middle market private credit with Shane Lanigan of Beach Point Capital Ireland and UK. This entertaining discussion about growing up in Ireland, finding a passion for finance and the ins and outs of direct lending is a mini-masterclass. We hear about managing entrepreneurs and their expectations, the importance of management quality and how to guard against reputational risk. With thanks to Apollo Global Management, Inc. for supporting the production costs of Series 1 of 2024. Jim Maloney https://lnkd.in/g5-rSdbx
