Final Acquisition of the Year! 🚀 We are thrilled to announce that RD Capital Partners (RDCP) has acquired an 80% stake in Grayton | RJE. We’re excited to partner with Carl Meale and Richard Southee as Joint Managing Directors and fellow shareholders, alongside Richard Marshall and Peter Osullivan as Joint Chairmen. Grayton is a leading engineering services provider specialising in the maintenance, installation, and diagnostics of industrial rotary equipment. Established in 1992, the company serves critical sectors including steel, cement, chemicals, oil and gas, food, and power. With a turnover of £17.6 million, Grayton employs 130 staff and achieved an impressive adjusted EBITDA of £3.2 million in 2023. This acquisition significantly enhances RDCP’s footprint in the UK industrials sector, bolstering our expertise in predictive maintenance and turnkey project solutions. A special thanks to the Beach Point Capital Ireland and UK (BPC) team—Shane Lanigan, Seth Vaughan, and Jakob Nilsson—for their continued support of RDCP. This marks BPC’s second time supporting RDCP after backing the acquisition of Alma Rail in 2022!

Exciting Progress at Ensus with Major Dryer Replacement! In late September, Ensus UK Ltd marked a significant milestone in the Dryer Replacement Project with a successful shutdown involving a complex removal and installation of the new "A" Dryer. This essential upgrade will improve the plant’s efficiency in producing #DDGS (Distillers’ Dried Grains) which is a high-grade #AnimalFeed. Project Highlights: ✔ Precision Planning: The project required a 1,350-ton Schaften crane to manage the complex logistics. In the first week, the original dryer was disconnected and removed, making way for the new triple-pass rotary drum dryer built onsite. ✔ Safety First: To minimize disruption, critical lifts were scheduled over weekends, while strict safety protocols ensured a safe and seamless execution. André Tonneaux from CropEnergies AG commended the team’s meticulous handling, stating: "Indeed, a very good performance for such a heavy load (300t) in such a compact area. Well done to the Ensus team, led by Jason Wildmore!" Since the plant went operational 14 years ago, dryers "A" and "B" have been pivotal in the overall success of the plant. Yesterday our pipefitting apprentices took part in a competition set by tutors to show what they had learnt since September. They were tasked to produce 2 flanges and a 90° joint. The test piece was fully prepped and the flanges welded using either MMA or TIG. Our winners were then selected by the tutors who judged the quality of their work, and James Cooney (Grayton | RJE) and Jake Hargreaves (Bilfinger UK) were selected as the winners, congratulations both!
