We have been quiet on wasabi lately but working in the background on simple wasabi farming soloutins to bring to local European growers. Here in picture is one of our semi-mature wasabi plants for finishing in your garden or herb farm, half grown to maturity in wasabi friendly, natural Irish conditions pesticide and fungicide free. Now the peak season for wasabi begins and we have a little surprise from our variety trials research. Here you see a variety grown in Irish climate with zero shade. Don’t get too excited in sunnier climates but this is a nice breakthrough as other varieties perished under same conditions and on top of this breakthrough this variety is a heavy yielding variety. If you are a a local specialist herb supplier anywhere in Europe or food manufacturer wanting to set up supply we are happy to partner up on supply chain from our wasabi innovation. #wasabi #innovation #supplychain

On October 4th, NativaLand organized the Open Day at the production center where about 80 atendees from several European countries had the opportunity to visit the testing field with more than 20 new sweet potato varieties that after a careful selection will be tested again in a broader context analyzing their performance in terms of productivity, nursery production and storage ability. This is a long process that takes a few years before a new variety becomes approved for NativaLand's variety catalogue. The visit continued to a nearby sweet potato field on harvest for processing and later to the NativaLand warehouse where topics related to post-harvest conservation and sweet potato handling were were discussed. We hope to meet again soon!
