Glen Dimplex China was honoured to host Glen Dimplex Precision Cooling CEO Torben and COO Tobias during their visit yesterday. This marks the final stop on Torben's series of site visits, which included GDPC's factories in the United States (Dimplex Thermal Solutions) and India (Werner Finley Private Limited) earlier this year. Torben shared detailed development plans for GDPC's operations across the U.S., Europe, India and China, offering valuable insights into GDC's growth trajectory. The visit culminated in a ceremonial unveiling of GDC's new Test Stand 4, where Torben and Tobias joined the celebration. This expansion ensures we can meet growing customer demands for the next three years, continuing to deliver the high-quality and reliable solutions that GDC is renowned for. Excellent meeting with a delegation from the State of Baja California, Mexico on Friday in Dublin. Last weekend I had the pleasure to visit Farmleigh and engage in a discussion with Simon Harris and Keir Starmer on the future of investing and trading in the United Kingdom. I personally have a long and rewarding history of doing business in the UK and Glen Dimplex has successfully built businesses in the UK over the last 50 years. After a few challenging years, it was encouraging to see the two leaders take such positive steps to refresh the relationship between our two countries. It may only be words and photos at the moment, but these things matter. Here is to a strong and successful future working together. Well done to Ibec for facilitating the discussions. As an added bonus it was great to see a Glen Dimplex Fire as the backdrop to the Photos.

BEAMA Dimplex UK In support of the position of BEAMA on the widening of direct support to a larger range of electric heating technologies in the forthcoming UK budget.
BEAMA has submitted its recommendations to the HM Treasury in advance of October’s Budget statement. Recognising the Government’s statements on the fiscal position, we have suggested measures that require relatively little immediate capital spending but that could nonetheless help to boost investment in accelerating electrification to make progress to net zero and seize economic opportunities. 1. Level the heat technology playing field – support all low carbon electric heat technologies on the market with reduced VAT and expand the scope of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. 2. Maintain EV incentives to ensure progress in the rollout of charging infrastructure. 3. Consult on addressing the high relative cost of electricity. 4. Develop a green taxonomy to unlock the potential of green finance and give clarity to investors. 5. Support UK industry by implementing the support scheme for electricity networks products manufacturing that had funding allocated under the previous Budget.
