Congratulations to Ethan Brennan, Rossa Mac Gearailt and Colm Cronin, the winners of The Housing Agency Award at the BT Young Scientist Exhibition 2025. Their award was presented by Roslyn Molloy, Head of Policy, Practice and Communications at The Housing Agency. The fifth year students of Pobalscoil Inbhear Sceine, Kenmare, Co Kerry, examined the reasons for the declining rates of people entering the trades in their project entitled Hands on, Hands off: The Trade Puzzle. Well done boys!

The Housing Agency has commissioned an independent research report ‘Good practice in the development and design of Traveller specific accommodation’. The report, on behalf of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage explores the value of inclusive and meaningful engagement, the importance of site layout designs that are safe and secure to resident wellbeing, and the importance of fire safety in site planning and layout.   ➡️ Read the report in full here - https://lnkd.in/g3Awdzfm

The Housing Agency is pleased to announce that Martin Whelan has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Agency and will take up the role on 31st March, 2025. Mr Whelan will join The Housing Agency from the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) where he is currently Head of Group Corporate Affairs and Communications.
