A fantastic endorsement evidencing the impact of making IReL databases available to the TU and IoT sector. Now that N-TUTORR funding is no longer available, this demonstrates how important that these resources continue to be available on a permanent basis. Huge kudos to the team of librarians who worked hard to ensure high engagement and usage stats, and have embedded IReL databases into the research culture at their institutions. #TransformingLearning #NextGenerationEU
The enormous value and impact of the N-TUTORR-funded IReL databases to the TU and IoT sector can be seen in the engagement and usage statistics below. Huge thanks to N-TUTORR. #NTUTORRShowcase #nextgenerationeu

We are pleased to share this important report by Ageh Consulting, funded by the Arcadia Fund, entitled "The Preservation of Knowledge in the Digital Age - An analysis of public and research libraries’ perpetual access to licensed electronic literature". This report details the challenges faced by key stakeholders around the world regarding the preservation of digital knowledge assets. A broad spectrum of organisations were interviewed across the breadth of libraries, archives, publishers and more, with IReL member institutions strongly represented including Trinity College Dublin and Maynooth University. You can read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/ejghy-pz
📢 Thrilled to announce the publication of our report: ‘The Preservation of Knowledge in the Digital Age’ After months of research, collaboration, and engaging discussions, our report, funded by the Arcadia Fund, is now live! 🎉 The report explores an urgent issue: how future generations’ access to verified and qualified knowledge is increasingly at risk. Libraries, publishers, and other stakeholders face immense challenges in safeguarding and providing access to scholarly monographs, digital publications, and other knowledge assets. We identify critical risks, including the fragility of preservation systems and the restrictive business models of modern publishing, which could lead to the permanent loss or inaccessibility of valuable works. But it’s not all challenges – we propose actionable recommendations to ensure the continuity of accessible, usable knowledge for future generations. A heartfelt thank you to my incredible co-authors, whose insights, dedication, and expertise were vital to this project: 👉 Chris Durlacher 👉 Julian Turner 👉 Michael Bayler You can read the report here: 📖 https://lnkd.in/egMDTHEb I’d love to hear your thoughts or answer any questions about the report. Let’s continue the conversation about how we can protect and share knowledge for the benefit of all. #PreservationOfKnowledge #DigitalAge #Libraries #Innovation #Collaboration
