Today, we are pleased to announce the sale of the Kerry Dairy Ireland Business (KDI) to Kerry Co-Op Creameries. Kerry Group plc has, to date, comprised the Taste & Nutrition business - a global provider of specialist solutions in sustainable nutrition for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical markets, and Kerry Dairy Ireland - a leading producer of dairy foods and nutritional ingredients. Following the votes this week by the shareholders of both Kerry Co-Op and Kerry Group, Kerry Co-Op will initially acquire a 70% interest in Kerry Dairy Ireland, with Kerry Group retaining a 30% interest, which will transfer between 2030 and 2035. This agreement marks the next chapter in our journey, positioning both Kerry Group and Kerry Dairy Ireland for growth and success in the years to come. https://lnkd.in/dw2RpWiw #KerryGroup #KerryDairyIreland #Dairy #DairyIndustry

This growth is driven by innovations that accommodate lactose intolerance, making dairy accessible and enjoyable for a wider audience. Combining our decades of dairy heritage and innovation with industry-leading enzyme technology, we can integrate lactases into your dairy production and help your consumers eliminate lactose discomfort. We were asked by an industrial bakery if we could add an extra day of shelf life to one of their bread products. Using our preservation and enzyme technologies, we were able to offer them a solution that extended shelf-life by three days, instead of just one. This allowed them to cost-effectively reach new markets further afield. Have a similar challenge? Find out more about how our resources and solutions in preservation could help: https://lnkd.in/eK4T7WzZ #FoodWaste #FoodTechnology #Bakery

Consumers are more eager than ever to learn how to support their health. The good news is that there are numerous opportunities to impact health through food. By staying at the forefront of nutritional science, we can offer science-backed and clinically studied ingredients that cater to various consumer needs, including immune, digestive, and cognitive health. The best part is that we can seamlessly integrate these solutions into everyday food and beverage products like smoothies, teas, and even baked goods. Alexandra Boelrijk, Senior Director for ProActive Health at Kerry, talks about this in the video below. #Health #HealthandNutrition #ResearchandDevelopment #FoodScience
