STW Director Kevin Bates and Project Lead Justin Hynes were delighted to attend the unveiling of the new Scott Tallon Walker Architects designed National Isolation Unit at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, Dublin last Monday, 14th October, where Mater CEO Alan Sharp welcomed Minister Paschal Donohoe to inspect the facilities. The Unit will provide care for patients with hazardous and High Consequence infectious diseases and will play an important part in any future pandemic. It's impressive to see the precast structure and unitised façade being built simultaneously at The CarriageWorks. Bathroom pods have already been installed, and with the apartments sealed, interior fit-out can begin immediately.
