As the first light of the new year streams in, it’s hard not to feel a little nostalgic. This year is extra special for us at Rathbornes—it marks 25 years of our Millennium Edition candle which was gifted by the Government of Ireland to every home in Ireland to celebrate the turn of the millennium.  Do you remember yours? We were the perfect partner to produce this candle given we won the government’s tender in the 17th century to light the streets of Dublin. What started in Wynetavern street in Dublin has grown into something far more personal—bringing light, comfort and boosting wellness at homes around the world.   As we step into 2025, we’re filled with gratitude for all the moments we’ve been part of, and we’re so excited to continue this journey with you. Here’s to peaceful mornings, cosy evenings, and finding joy in the little things. As we wrap up 2024, the Rathbornes 1488 team came together last night for a warm and lively evening at Sweeney’s, hosted by our CEO, Vincent Brady. It was a perfect way to celebrate another incredible year of crafting memories, lighting homes, and growing together as a team. Although, we missed having our brilliant Brand Director, Siobhan Kehoe, with us last night. Here’s to the end of one chapter and the start of another, filled with new goals, opportunities, and bright ideas. This time of year feels extra special as we celebrate not just the festivities but also our anniversary milestone: 10 years in business. They say a business is like a ‘baby,’ and after a decade of nurturing and evolving our brand, we get the sentiment. In many ways, we feel like proud parents! It’s fitting, then, that the theme of family - in all its shapes and forms - has been at the heart of so many of our projects this year.  There have been collaborations with multi-generational family-owned businesses - Armac Martin CROPPER (JAMES) PLC HAYES & FINCH LIMITED Charles Farris Limited and Rathbornes 1488 — balancing tradition and heritage with bold innovation for tomorrow's generations and world. It included a refresh of the Co-op 'Owned' brand strategy, strengthening the proposition for member-owners - like an extended family. At Diageo, with its family of brands, we’ve supported both the licensing and innovation teams to maximise growth, while at Nisa Retail we’ve been guided by the idea that family isn’t just about who we’re born to, but our retailers and their communities that connect every day.  That’s been true for all the businesses we’ve had the privilege to work with this year: Steadings Community Development Trust, Chichester District Council Flylogix Guardian Angel Carers Meadow Bay Villages and Inkbox. And we thank all our clients for trusting us to take care of their brands with them.
