We are delighted to announce that Sandyford Business District has been recognised as ESG Leader of the Year at Ireland’s Climate Change Leadership Awards 2024! This prestigious achievement reflects the dedication of SBD and our partners in fostering climate resilience within business parks, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient future for the District A heartfelt thank you to our partners Wessel Badenhorst Latitudo 40 Gavin Duffy RealSim UCD Innovation Academy and Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council for their invaluable support in conducting targeted climate analysis and supporting the development of our pilot initiatives. A recent milestone in this journey brought us to Lille, France, in November, where we attended the IB Green project meeting and participated in the IB Green midterm conference. During the event, we highlighted our sustainability initiatives and provided updates on the Civic Park project on Corrig Road, emphasising the importance of completing it by 31st December 2026. This vibrant civic park will foster wellness and create an inviting space for everyone who lives and works in the District. #esg #sustainability #climatechange #sdgs #environment #climatechange #climateaction Vincent M. It's fantastic to see John Larkin from The Black Stuff, located here in Sandyford Business District, thriving. We purchased several of their gift packs to present to the foreign delegates who spoke at our Innovation Summit last month, and they were a huge hit! Ger Corbett Vincent M.
Better get the finger out and hit the numbers now! 🤣

I had the privilege of attending the Innovation Summit 2024 Event at the Sandyford Business District which aims at Shaping the Future of Sandyford Business District. A huge congratulations to Ger Corbett and the incredible team at Sandyford Business District for hosting a truly inspiring Innovation Summit 2024! 👏 The event centered on a bold and a very impressive visionary goal: transforming Sandyford Business District into one of the world’s leading premium business parks—on par with global Business Parks. What truly sets this vision apart is its holistic approach. It’s not just about business growth—it’s about building a thriving community. Plans include developing residential buildings to provide employees with not just a workplace, but a place to call home. This forward-thinking development aims to expand the district’s workforce from 28,000 to over 48,000+ by 2028, creating a sustainable ecosystem where businesses, employees, and families can flourish together. A standout moment from the event was Day 2’s impressive and innovative venue at Explorium Sandyford, which embodied the spirit of the summit. Another exciting initiative announced was the plan to establish an Innovation Centre within Sandyford Business District—a dynamic hub for connecting with innovation, discussing ideas, and fostering ground-breaking collaborations. Sessions focused on four core themes—circularity, digitisation, mobility, and social innovation. Sustainability and community-building remain at the heart of this initiative, ensuring that growth benefits not just the economy, but also the environment and the people who live and work here. Kudos to the team for driving innovation and setting a benchmark for what a business district can truly achieve!
