    Being able to hire globally, having a flexible team, better work-life balance, reinvestmenting into functional budgets instead of offices (in extreme cases resilience during crises eg Covid lockdowns)… I can list plenty of more advantages of being a remote company. Take our talent pool example within our team. CEO Michael McGurn from the enterprise broker Lockton CCO Allan Murego has a multi enterprise background from NatWest, Wolters Kluwer, Hitachi CTO Atanu Dasgupta has plenty of tech enterprise firms he’s developed significant projects for such as Informatica, Ness Digital Engineering etc. Exciting what a group of likeminded people can build when in a room together (Google meets). Ours manifested into AI agents for insurance brokers. P.S - We’ll be expanding our tech talent after pre-seed, looking forward to getting back in touch with ambitious coders, developers and AI engineers 🚀

    I made custom AI Insurance chatbots that handle website customer queries in 2 minutes... I had the idea after Insurance Business America wrote a recent article about how specialised AI is required in Insurance as adoption grows. With Allianz leading the way as they revealed their LLM went live yesterday (links in comments). Chatbase is an AI-powered chatbot creator that allows Insurance professionals to build these. (Without coding knowledge or technical know-how). Here's a quick example: A customer service bot that answers website visitors questions regarding: - Making a claim - Checking a policy - Quotes comparison The bot can handle these simple questions automatically without staff getting involved. Better yet, Chatbase can connect with other applications through APIs and Webhooks. This gave an idea to connect the customer bot directly with Simpli's AI Market Review Agent. By adding an extra step, converting customer data into a quick document, this info can be automatically sent out to the AI Agent. This way the Insurance Professional has the customer data at hand while being able to compare the right policies or other insurance documents. More automation. Less manual work.     How important is community building (and does it bring actual value, or just another vehicle for marketing)? I’d say paramount value (hear me out) As a commercial professional, I always like to educate myself on best practices as they’re shifting weekly. First great example I’ve seen of companies doing community building right has been La Growth Machine. Brice Maurin created a hub where members were sharing best new practices when it comes to GTM tech stacks etc. (not just overly marketing the capabilities of their software) Similarly to Clay, so much value within their community platform at no extra cost. This inspired me to give value an extra step further. We're also about building a community that thrives on innovation and collaboration, for insurance brokers.     Digital transformation tools for insurance professionals spotlight: n8n We’ve started a series on tools insurance professionals would find useful, with a database of +1000 tools curated on our community slack (in the comments) We’ve seen first hand on how n8n’s tools have helped us automate various internal operations. It can be used in tandem with Simpli’s AI agents to help accelerate policy comparison even further by funnelling documents directly into the workflow alongside our agent. Great tool to add to the tech stack for insurance brokers 🙌

    DeepSeek AI & Open Source AI is going to change Insurance as we know it. DeepSeek AI has wiped $1.5 trillion from U.S. tech stocks and forcing AI giants to rethink their pricing. But what does this mean for insurance? SAP has been quick to react & already added DeepSeek into its AI hub, with their CFO expressing this is ‘Very good news’. Insurance Business America has recently highlighted AI is moving towards an open ecosystem, providing insurance firms with greater flexibility. Closed models such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude and Google’s Gemini are accessible only via APIs, limiting insurers’ ability to audit internal processes and raising concerns about compliance and data security.     18 months of website optimisation have taught me five key lessons: Since starting working on Simpli, our website has taken on 4/5 reworks (with the latest and best versions done by the CEO himself Michael McGurn) If we could condense the things that made the most impact, it would be the following. 🏢 Industry-Centric Branding: A cleaner, industry-focused design has boosted reply rates from both potential investors and clients. 🔄 Iterative Design: Constant refinement based on analytical feedback has been essential, insights from Microsoft Clarity showed surprising user behaviors, allowing us to change client pathways to suit them best. 🪟Transparency: In a market where confidence in SaaS and AI is at an all-time low, being open about our process, whether through a build-in-public approach or by showcasing our agents in action has been crucial for sparking initial conversations. 😌 Simplicity: Focusing on what matters and cutting out the fluff has led to a more engaging website viewer experience. 🗣️ User Feedback: Actively listening to feedback on our product, website, and UI has been key, helping us acquire 300+ users along the way and continuously improve our offering. Although SaaS has alot of cookie cutter templates for ‘high converting’ and ‘engaging’ websites, they definitely vary significantly depending on the industry you’re servicing, this has been my experience when working with Insurance. What other lessons would you add to this list?
