Job Objectives

We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic professionals who share our passion for care and who have a proven record of leading a multifaceted in-house team to achieve recruitment, training, employee relations and engagement objectives.

The successful candidate will hold a senior management position and will be responsible for leading the human resource teams and supporting the service divisional directors and their departments.

  • Monitor departmental KPIs, drive performance, and achieve targets.
  • Set and oversee budgets and develop individual human resource services.
  • Stay informed about changes in employment law and ensure compliance.
  • Think about Nua’s future and make intelligent continuous improvement recommendations.


Skills Required

Qualification:

  • A Master’s-level qualification in a Human Resources-related discipline is essential.
  • A management qualification is preferred.


Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of Irish employment law.
  • Experience:
  • Proven leadership and management experience within a large organisation in either the public or private sector.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong experience operating at a senior level within a professional or regulatory environment.


Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire HR teams.
  • Sound judgment in making decisions that balance employee needs with organisational goals.
  • Expertise in mediating disputes and delivering equitable solutions for all parties.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, motivated, initiative-taker.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, along with strong IT proficiency.
  • Dedicated, dependable, and adaptable in approach to work.
  • Full clean driver’s licence.
