Great news for Kilkenny and the South East, as UKG, a leading provider of HR, payroll, workforce management, and culture solutions has announced the establishment of its newest Global Operations Hub in the city. Today’s DisrupTech summit focused on showcasing the country’s leading investments in disruptive technologies. Over 600 disruptive tech leaders, researchers and investors attended Ireland’s DisrupTech 2024 in Dublin Castle to learn more about how Disruptive Technologies are improving people’s lives, tackling global challenges and inspiring a better future.   The €500 million Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund, established under Project Ireland 2040, supports projects that have the potential to create new products, services or business processes which can significantly disrupt existing markets. The Central Bank of Ireland has announced the theme for the upcoming Innovation Sandbox Programme. We anticipate that a significant number of our cluster community will be interested in engaging with the theme of the Innovation Sandbox Programme, which is focused on combating financial crime. Through the utilisation of cutting-edge technology, the goal is to promote and create solutions that reduce fraud, improve Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Countering Financing of Terrorism (CFT) frameworks, as well as enhance transaction security for consumers on a daily basis. The Innovation Sandbox Programme will commence in December 2024 and the programme will run for six months.
