Join Us for the First Annual Food Systems Conference by FOOJI - The Hebrew University of Jerusalem Center for Sustainable Food Systems! On February 6, 2025, the FOOJI Center for Sustainable Food Systems at the Hebrew University is hosting a conference at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment. This interdisciplinary event focuses on building efficient and sustainable food systems in a changing world, addressing critical global challenges like climate change, population growth, and urbanization. In this event we will host a PhD Flash Talks Competition with a prize for the winner! This event is made possible through a collaboration with our incredible partners: Strauss Group, The Kitchen Hub, AquaculTech, FoodTech Nation, The Good Food Institute Israel, and Tnuva. 📅 When? 🌱 Wrapping Up the First Round of the FoodTech Nation Program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment🌟 This week, we celebrated the conclusion of the FoodTech Program at the Faculty of Agriculture with an exciting Pitch Night! During the event, 3 teams of students competed, presenting the innovative ventures they developed throughout the program. One team have advanced to the national pitches event! We were honored to have Tammy Meiron, Ph.D. and Dorit Rozner, PhD as our esteemed judges, who brought their expertise, insights, and inspiration to the participants. The FoodTech program is designed to expose participants to the worlds of innovation and entrepreneurship in the food industry. It provides a platform to develop real-world solutions to global challenges. We’re incredibly proud of all the participants and grateful to the team, judges, and everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s first round. Yesterday, we celebrated the openning event of the FaculTech- Students' Entrepreneurship Club in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment with an incredible event focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and the future of modern agriculture. Saying goodbye is not easy. This club became my second home, a place for empowerment, inspiration, freedom for my creativity, place to grow as a leader, a team player and a manager.
