A group from Simcocks joined Manx Wildlife Trust on Wednesday to plant trees at the Creg Y Cowin nature reserve in East Baldwin. This is a temperate rainforest project in its second year, Manx Wildlife Trust led, which envisions the planting of circa 28,000 trees over five years. The team had a great time and worked muscles they forgot they had! Thank you to the guys at MWT for looking after them and for all their hard work every day. It’s been a busy day for seals 🦭 A juvenile pup was reported yesterday in Port Erin. Thanks to our amazing Seal Sitter volunteers (Jan and Angela) who kept an eye on it for the last 24 hours. With no sign of mum and concerns for its health (underweight and laboured breathing) the decision was made to recover the seal to our rehabilitation centre. Thanks to our British Divers Marine Life Rescue trained Marine Mammal Medic volunteers for the timely rescue. ‘Erin’ (first pic) is now under the care of a vet 🏥 ‘Fenella’ (second pic) who was recovered on the 8th November (you can guess where) is now healthy and was released today 🥳 Don’t forget you can support our seal work by visiting https://lnkd.in/eSBDAe5U and making a donation. #teamwilder
