Rao, whose guidance since 1971, after my IIT Delhi days, was instrumental in guiding me into geotechnical practice as a profession. My efforts have always been to bridge the gap between research and practice with a higher reliability factor for the betterment of society. This recognition is an encouragement to continue pushing boundaries, advancing techniques, and applying international standards for more reliable data, fostering stronger synergy for a sustainable society. The ground is like a human body—no two sites or humans are the same, and both require reliable and correct parameters for any treatment. Advanced in-situ testing is the KEY to sustainable geotechnical engineering. This award reflects the encouragement and support I’ve received from my mentors, colleagues, gurus, associates, the Cengrs team, and most importantly, my family—my wife and children. Thank you all for your unwavering encouragement and support throughout this journey.
