#ICES2024 #DGBAwards Join us in celebrating Shri. (Dr.) Varun Kapoor, Special Director General of Police, Madhya Pradesh, for his remarkable achievement at the Doing Good for Bharat Awards 2024! Shri. (Dr.) Varun Kapoor has emerged as a leader in the "Doing Good Through Governance and Public Services" category, showcasing exemplary dedication to public service and transformative governance. The Black Ribbon Initiative is a nationwide cyber security awareness campaign that has conducted 703 sessions across schools, colleges, institutions, and organizations in India, reaching over 5,50,000 citizens through highly interactive 2-hour sessions. It has also extended internationally to countries like Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, the UAE, and the UK. During the COVID-19 pandemic, 183 of these sessions were delivered as webinars. This effort spans 28 states and has also trained 5,000 officers from police, paramilitary forces, and the Indian Army under the Blue Palm initiative. Specialized wildlife protection training is provided through the Roaring Tiger Initiative, with 34 workshops held so far, and the Cyber Claw project is underway in tiger reserves. Additionally, Project Cy-Cops, launched in 2021, educates school students on cyber security, with over 514 teachers trained. Its digital expansion in Madhya Pradesh began in October 2023, with 1238 teachers and principals trained. The Ojaswi Abhiyaan project, focused on training school principals in cyber security, has already reached 1928 principals in six districts. Let’s applaud Shri. Pankaj Choudhary (IPS) has emerged as a leader in the "Doing Good Through Governance and Public Services" category, exemplifying dedication to public service and transformative governance. The Student Police Cadet (SPC) Scheme, a joint initiative by the Government of India and the State Government of Rajasthan with a 60:40 funding ratio, aims to instill human values, ethics, and responsible citizenship in students. The scheme provides two years of training to students in classes 8 and 9. In the 2023-24 session, 1005 schools, including 927 State Government schools and 78 Central schools, enrolled a total of 47,169 students in the SPC program. For the 2024-25 academic session, a letter has been issued to the Director of the Secondary Education Department in Bikaner to initiate student enrollment Let’s applaud Shri. Adani Foundation has emerged as a leader in the "Doing Good Through Philanthropy for Impact" category, showcasing their commitment to creating positive change and empowering communities across Bharat. The Fortune SuPoshan project by the Adani Foundation enhances government nutrition initiatives by empowering communities to improve accessibility, acceptance, and demand for nutritional resources. Targeting adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating women, and children under five, it aims to combat malnutrition through a lifecycle approach. The project operates in 17 sites across 11 states, focusing on high-prevalence areas. Key activities include regular monitoring of children's growth, awareness sessions for families, training local health workers, BMI screenings, promoting kitchen gardens, cooking demonstrations, a 14-day camp for managing severe and moderate malnutrition, and strengthening referrals to Nutritional Rehabilitation Centres.
