We're delighted to share that this year, we celebrate 25 years of Dasra being in service of anchoring transformative impact in India. This journey has been one of recognizing the deep inequities that live among us, by making visible the invisible and bridging these vast divides. It has been about sparking determination, not pity. It has been about challenging the status quo, the courage to take paths less travelled and the willingness to immerse in the shared truths of our vulnerabilities. It has been about making philanthropy work for communities, not for privilege. It has called for nurturing trust and radical kindness; the empathy to explore possibilities and the humility to accept these in our oneness. This journey has been about a fierce ambition to be uncompromising, to satiate the hunger for learning and to have the audacity to amplify the most vulnerable of voices. It has required perseverance, empathy, and gusto: true moral courage for sustenance. It has for us inspired leadership that adjusts the sails to catch the wind to imagine possibilities in pursuit of a higher purpose, bigger than ourselves but that together is surmountable. For us, it has been a journey of combining the power of the mind and the courage of the heart to tackle large-scale inequities. As we look forward, we remain committed to our vision of transforming India anchored around our ethos of empowering communities to "thrive through equity". It seems like a long journey thus far, but for us, the journey has just begun. #thrivethroughequity #ABillionThriving #Dasraat25 Neera Nundy Deval Sanghavi Shailja Mehta Jyotirmoy Chatterji Ninad Ankleshwaria Parnasha Banerjee Dinella Oliveira

Across India, women-led NGOs are quietly yet powerfully redefining leadership—centering communities, maximizing resources, and creating impact that endures for generations. These organizations don’t just address challenges; they unlock potential. By transforming grassroots insights into scalable solutions, they empower communities to thrive. Their work goes beyond aid—it paves the way for lasting change. Recognizing this transformative power, Rebuild India Fund will soon announce the launch of an exclusive cohort of women-led NGOs selected through a participatory assessment process that leverages the experience of Rebuild's existing portfolio of women leaders. Guided by inspiring leaders - Maya Patel of Tarsadia Foundation and Farida Kathawalla of Circle of Hope, we aim to amplify the voices of women who are not just leading but reshaping our collective future. Because when women lead, hope becomes action. Change becomes inevitable. #RootedInHerPower #RebuildIndiaFund #WomenChangemakers #GrassrootsLeadership

“India’s robust presence as a scaling lab for critical solutions to the world’s most complex issues is a harbinger for a future where the Majority World is empowered to solve for itself”. India’s #philanthropy landscape is shifting toward localised giving, driven by rising inequality and stagnant global funding. Ami Misra and Prachi Pal from Dasra highlight the growing role of family philanthropy, collaborative platforms, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) laws in positioning India as a model for global solutions.
