  • India’s Answer to Fashion’s Biggest Sustainability Challenge: The Circular Revolution in Panipat ♻️ The global textile and fashion industry is at a crossroads—struggling to tackle the massive issue of textile waste while also striving to make products more circular and sustainable without skyrocketing costs. With Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) policies gaining momentum worldwide, fashion brands are under increasing pressure to find scalable, cost-effective solutions for textile waste disposal, recycling, and reuse. But what if the answer has been here all along? 📍 Welcome to Panipat, India—The World’s Largest Textile Recycling Ecosystem Apparel Resources, a leading industry publication, has acknowledged the value of Panipat’s recycling ecosystem, recognizing it as a scalable, industrially proven solution for the textile industry’s sustainability and circularity challenges. This small city in Northern India, often referred to as the "Textile Recycling Capital of the World," is home to a well-established supply chain that recycles over 3,000 tons of textile waste daily—transforming discarded fabrics into high-value home textiles, apparel, and raw materials for new products. As fashion brands across the globe seek circular solutions, Panipat has perfected the art of textile-to-textile recycling, offering a cost-neutral, scalable, and environmentally responsible alternative. 🔄 The Circular Model: From Waste to Fashion The Global Alliance For Textile Sustainability Council (GATS) is at the forefront of this movement, bridging the gap between waste generators (fashion brands) and recyclers (manufacturers in Panipat) to create a fully integrated circular textiles supply chain. ♻️ How Does This Circular System Work? ✔ Post-Consumer & Post-Industrial Waste Collection: Textile waste from brands and consumers is systematically sorted. ✔ Material Segregation: Waste is classified based on fiber composition ✔ Mechanical Recycling: Fibers are regenerated and blended with recycled and regenerative raw materials to create high-quality yarns. ✔ Reintegrating Circular Materials into Fashion: Recycled fibers are woven into fabrics and crafted into fully circular apparel and home textiles, ready for mass-market adoption. 📌 Result? Fashion brands get a scalable circular solution without excessive cost premiums, while textile waste is diverted from landfills and incineration—creating jobs, saving resources, and reducing emissions. 📍 Join us at Bharat-Tex 2025 (February 14-17, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi), where the entire GATS team will be present to discuss solutions tailored for your business. 🔗 For collaborations & inquiries, reach out to us at connect@gats.org.in The future of fashion is circular, and India is leading the way. Let’s build it together! 💚♻️ #BharatTex2025 #TextileRecycling #CircularEconomy #FashionSustainability #EPR #GATS #FutureOfFashion #IndiaLeadingCircularity
