Empowering Education in Lucknow! In partnership with the American India Foundation (AIF), we at the HCLFoundation have launched a state-of-the-art STEM Innovation and Learning Center at Government Girls Inter College, Vikas Nagar, Lucknow. This initiative aims to revolutionize education by providing students and teachers with cutting-edge tools and skills. The center is designed to foster a hands-on learning experience, encouraging students to explore, create, and innovate. The immersive environment includes: · A Space Technology Zone where students can delve into the wonders of space exploration and astronomy. · A Robotics Intervention area, providing students with hands-on experience in designing, building, and programming robots. · An AI Corner, introducing students to the exciting world of artificial intelligence and its applications. · Science and Math Kits, making complex concepts fun and interactive. · A Teachers’ Studio, dedicated to enhancing teachers' skills and knowledge to effectively integrate technology into their teaching practices. Through project-based learning and a "Learning by Doing" approach, students will develop essential skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This initiative will empower students, especially girls, to pursue careers in STEM fields and become future leaders. We are pleased to announce the successful completion of our third workshop under 'Sports Shiksha powered by HCLFoundation' in partnership with the Abhinav Bindra Foundation on Dec 19-20 at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru. 42 Sports Managers, Coaches and community role models from Bengaluru, Madurai, and Vijayawada came together for this workshop, which focused on enhancing their understanding of sports science. Brij Bihari's Journey to Success: Transforming Dairy Farming For over two decades, Brij Bihari struggled to make a profit with his dairy farm in Mehmoodpur village, Hardoi. Despite having 10 cows, his traditional farming practices yielded minimal results, and frequent health issues drained his finances. However, in early 2024, Brij's fortunes changed when he enrolled for capacity building sessions under the Dairy Development Project of Samuday by HCLFoundation. Through an intensive training programme, Brij gained valuable insights into modern dairy farming practices, including balanced feeding, cleanliness, vaccination, and artificial insemination. By implementing these learnings, Brij's cows became healthier and more productive, resulting in lower veterinary costs and increased profitability. Today, Brij is not only a successful dairy farmer but also an inspiration to others in his village. By sharing his knowledge and experience, he is helping other farmers adopt modern dairy techniques, uplifting the entire community.
