When we first debuted at the Singapore FinTech Festival in 2023, I didn't anticipate this would become two in a row, and what a remarkable 2nd experience this return in 2024 has been! Program at IIIT Delhi on 27th October.🚀 The event was graced by @Himanshu Gupta, IAS (Secretary, CBSE) as Chief guest and Prof. Pankaj Vajpayee (Dean, IIITD and Director, IIITD-IC) as Guest of Honor Himanshu Gupta and Prof. Pankaj Vajpayee (CEO and Director, IIITD-IC) shared their insightful thoughts on how schools can nurture innovation, foster entrepreneurial thinking and establish sustainable innovation hubs.. Founders’ Meet 2024: IIITD Innovation & Incubation Center in collaboration with Institute Innovation Council (IIC) IIIT Delhi hosted an exclusive meetup of the founders of current and past incubatees of IIITD-IC. The idea of such meetups to create new communication channels between the start-up community and the other ecosystem stakeholders. The meet was attended by 25+ founders, IIITD-IC leadership, IIIT Delhi faculty members, students of E-Cell IIITD, mentors and many others. Followed by a round of introduction, the session was opened by Prof. Pankaj Vajpayee (Dean, Corp. Relations and Entrepreneurship, IIITD and Director, IIITD-IC) emphasizing on breaking the silos that are there between the start-up community and host institution and lead on a path that offers a synergistic growth for all the stakeholders including students, start-ups, industries, faculty etc. Prof. Ranjan Bose (Director, IIITD and Chairman, IIITD-IC) shared his thoughts on how the start-up can leverage the academic excellence vested amongst the highly qualified faculty and agile minded student fraternity of the IIIT Delhi. He emphasized on exploring the ways to collaborate on the cutting edge research being done at the Institute. During open discussion, the start-up founders and others came up with insightful ideas on working together, leveraging IIIT Delhi and IIITD-IC for funding, customer acquisition, mentorship, partnership etc which were very well received. From faculty side Prof. Dr. Vinish Kathuria, Prof. Anupam Saronwala, Prof. Anuj Grover, Prof. Jyoti Sharma and Prof. Pravesh Biyani shared their thoughts which resonated perfectly with the theme of the event. In conclusion, Prof. Anupam Saronwala emphasized the importance of a structured, efficient approach for startups seeking support from the Incubation Center and the host institute. His insights underscored the value of streamlined communication and goal-oriented engagement, inspiring emerging entrepreneurs to leverage these resources effectively for their growth.
