🤷India generates millions of tonnes of plastic waste annually, but where does this waste go and who manages this waste? 🤝Informal waste workers form the core of the plastic waste management system in India. The plenary session of INC-5 officially commenced on 25 November 2024, bringing together member states to collaborate over the next week on the critical treaty addressing plastic pollution. India emphasized the need to build consensus for the finalization of the treaty, ensuring that all member inputs are considered and that the principle of inclusivity—leaving no one behind—guides the development process.
