Simply overwhelmed, and at a loss of words to write. Still recovering from the year long journey of planning and preparations, ups and downs, twists and turns that went behind its creation. Finally, it became a reality - the #AthangudiTree, rooted to the soil, probably the first and one of a kind, now stands tall in the eloquent Lobby at #ITCGrandChola for all to see. • The exquisite #CholaTiles are a fine replica of the timeless #ChettinadTiles, an age old craft from the region of Sivagangai in Tamil Nadu, the inspiration behind this Installation. Each Chola Tile has been meticulously handcrafted by the dedicated Team of Differently Abled Individuals from Diya Innovations Private Limited. A big salute to their craftsmanship! • The core structure is made such, that it is both sustainable and reusable. Every inch, minutely calibrated for precise alignment, raised and assembled at #DStudio, Chennai. A solid structure, made with solid support. • The Star at the crown is handcrafted in Bamboo by women artisans from GreenKraft and the Gift Boxes are done by the neurodiverse members from #VidyasagarChennai. • All in all, the #AthangudiTree encapsulates all the virtues of #ArtofChange #MeaningfulPurpose #Artistry #Craftsmanship #Teamwork #Sustainability #ResponsibleLuxury. • Thank you #ITCGrandChola. Thank you Shaariq Akhtar Animesh Gosain sanjukthaa roy Shruti Nair Shruthi Shenoy Nikhil Nagpal Ruthvika Gopinath, Raja sekar for having faith in the Artist's vision and for entrusting #ArtistofChange with this piece of pride.
