To address the need for curative and advisory services for livestock owners, this initiative ensures that farmers in remote villages, far from veterinary hospitals, receive essential veterinary care right at their doorstep, preventing untimely livestock losses and boosting productivity. This initiative directly benefited around 4,000 livestock farmers, enhancing their livelihoods and ensuring healthier, more productive livestock. #JKTrust #JKLakshmiCement #LivestockCare #RuralDevelopment #LivestockHealth #SustainableFarming

JK Trust, Bombay and JK Cement had the distinct honour of receiving the prestigious Mewar Gaurav Samman from First India News on October 25, 2024, in recognition of our dedicated efforts to protect livestock from the Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) pandemic. Guided by the leadership of CSR Unit Head Mr. Manish Toshniwal and HR Head Mr. Prabhakar Mishra, JK Trust and JK Cement have jointly implemented vital rural development initiatives as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. In response to the LSD outbreak, Veterinarian Dr. Praveen Kumar and a dedicated team of 30 animal care workers, known as Gopals, provided critical vaccination and treatment services to protect livestock across Chittorgarh and its neighboring areas. Their dedicated efforts ensured the preservation of livestock in the community. In acknowledgment of this impactful work, Dr. Praveen Kumar and Mr. Arvind Singh Jadon were celebrated with the Mewar Gaurav Samman Award. The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Chittorgarh district’s five Members of the Legislative Assembly — Mr. Shrichand Kriplani, Mr. Suresh Dhakad, Mr. Arjun Zinger, Mr. Surendra Singh Yadav, and Mr. Chandrabhan Aakhya. Honored guests also included Rajasthan's Minister of Cooperatives Mr. Gautam Datt, former BJP State President Mr. C.P. Joshi, District Collector Mr. Alok Ranjan, and SP Mr. Sudhir Joshi. JK Trust members, Mr. Nand Kishore and Mr. Mohan Sen were also present to celebrate this milestone. Sunita and Kishor Gayri, a couple from the Nanna village in Nimbahera had one buffalo and were earning Rupees 8000 every month from Kishor’s driving profession. While the Gopal’s in their area knew the importance of the Holstein Friesian (HF) cow, they insisted the couple to own it. However, since it was not pure HF cow, the production of the milk from it was not as per the expectation. With the help of JK Trust, their HF cow and its calves were artificially inseminated to increase the cow’s milk-yielding potential. JK Trust’s interventions helped them immensely as the couple started selling milk full-time from their cows to Saras Dairy, earning 30,000-35,000 every month. #jktrust #EmpoweringCommunities #Jkcement #farmerschallenge #LivestockCare #sustainablefarming

Solutions for the farmers are the solutions for the entire country. When the younger generation thinks of being of some value in their lives they start playing a pivotal role in the country’s development. No longer seeing their actions small we must make them feel special in whatever way they contribute. JK Trust, we as a team, cannot be more than proud to put RITIKA DAN and Dr Tanushriya Patir into the spotlight for their utmost dedication that has been a silent aid in the lives of the farmers. Here’s what Ritika and Tanushriya have to say about their experience: A visit to the Integrated Livestock Development Centre in Ratnagiri highlighted the incredible work being done by JK Trust. Gopal, the village's trusted healers, are more than just service providers. Their expertise and dedication have earned them the respect and gratitude of the farmers. Since my joining, I had the opportunity to visit one of JK Trust's ongoing projects on ILDC, in Ratnagiri. Meeting Gopals, I got to witness their impact and work ethic and dedication. I hope with the support of gopals, the RDO, and FPO we will surely create a positive impact. To the duo – You are doing a great job! Keep inspiring people around! #JKTrust #YouthChangemaker #InspiringYouth #EmpoweringCommunities #YouthForChange
