About us

KARM Fellowship For Young Indian Women is an Educational Institute with a difference. Women’s higher education, career support and mentoring is of critical importance– to the individual, society and the country. Because it’s impact will reduce gender gap and crime against women, along with bolstering the economy and giving voice to the many who have generationally been voiceless. KARM Theory of Change We're dedicated to advancing women's economic empowerment through lasting careers of choice, fostering a confident workforce that enhance gender equality. It will establish a network of women who will support each other and pay it forward, thereby bringing about positive societal shift. KARM Vision Our experience has taught us the value of Education, Mentoring, Life Skills and Community Service. Basing our Fellowship on these key pillars, we aim to enable the professional aspirations of future women leaders in their areas of choice. The KARM Fellowship aspires to foster a community of financially independent, compassionate, driven women who are committed to becoming enablers and change leaders in their communities. KARM Pillars of Empowerment • Education - The KARM Fellowship will fund a bachelor’s & LLB course at Delhi University. This includes tuition fees, laptop, dongle, conveyance allowance, books allowance, exam fees, rent (for out stationed girls, Delhi allowance (for local girls) • Career Skills through personalised counselling, internships, immersions, trainings and talks. • Mentoring - One-on-one steady Mentoring from industry leaders for the course of the Fellowship • Community Service - 50-hours of community service to build values and purpose • Internships in both the Development and Corporate sector • A caring support system KARM Social Return on Investment That every KARM Fellow is Financially independent, has sustainable careers and that they pay it forward by supporting other young women at KARM and/or in their communities.
