Moog India Technology Center (MITC)

Every year, SAE Foundation recognizes companies that significantly contribute to and support the various initiatives of SAEINDIA. For 2024, Moog India Technology Center (MITC) was selected to receive the prestigious “Corporate Award” from SAE Foundation. The award ceremony was held in New Delhi on 11th Dec 2024. Vinay Roy also received a “SAE India Champions Award” from SAE Foundation for going above and beyond in his individual contributions to SAE. This is indeed a proud moment for the MITC. I dedicate the Corporate Award to the relentless and passionate engagement of MITC employees with the SAE. SAEINDIA is a strategic alliance partner of SAE International registered in India as an Indian nonprofit engineering and scientific society dedicated to the advancement of the mobility industry in India. SAE India has a dedicated Aerospace Forum. SAE India’s flagship events comprise of a national level aerospace conference called AeroCON which is held once every two years; and a national level drone design-development-demonstration event called AeroTHON which sees participation from major engineering colleges/universities in India and is held every year. MITC has a strong collaboration with SAE India and supports it in several association-academia-industry initiatives. Since the past few years, numerous MITC employees have been participating in and supporting SAE India’s AeroCON events. MITC employees publish technical papers, make technical presentations, participate in industry panel discussions, get involved with event management, setup and manage Moog display booth and several such activities. Similarly, for the AeroTHON event, MITC employees contribute in terms of mentoring the participating university teams by reviewing their drone designs and guiding improvements, being jury members and by coordinating event activities. MITC representative is also on the core managing committee of SAE India. MITC also contributes to the SAE Standards committee. Introducing "UNNATHI" - Moog India Women's Resource Group A joint initiative from all three Moog India entities - Moog India Technology Center (MITC), Moog Controls (India) Private Limited- MCIPL and Moog Motion Controls Pvt. Ltd. (MMCPL) We are delighted to share the start of Unnathi. We recently had an in-person event which included key note address by Site Leadership of all three India sites, an engaging fireside chat with four women leaders having 25+ years with Moog, opportunity to network and a few fun activities. Through 'Unnathi', we aim to build a supportive community where women can connect, grow, and thrive both personally and professionally. Together, we have started our journey towards realizing potential, upskilling together and elevating careers. Moog Inc. Commercial Aircraft Group Senior Leadership Team recently visited Moog India Technology Center (MITC), Bengaluru. In support of MITC’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, leadership team participated in an event at Rashtrotthana Parishat, an NGO and charitable organization, which Moog supports through its social outreach programs. The leadership team along with the volunteer employees from MITC made paper bags to be distributed to vendors thereby aiming to reduce plastic usage. In support of environmental conservation, the team also made seedballs towards afforestation drive. The event also featured voluntary blood donation by MITC employees, addressing critical community healthcare needs. Together, we’re creating a positive change and fostering a culture of giving back to the community. We thank the Senior Leadership Team for their enthusiastic participation and encouragement. Moog is thrilled to announce Lufthansa Airlines and Austrian Airlines recently signed an exclusive 8-year maintenance and pooling contract on their Boeing 787 fleet.
