Neogen Ionics Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Neogen Chemicals Limited) and India's largest bank, the State Bank of India (SBI), have completed the documentation formalities for disbursing a ₹894 crore ($108 million) loan on July 20th, 2024 for Neogen’s ongoing investment in battery chemicals greenfield project in Pakhajan, Dahej PCPIR, Gujarat. Neogen currently operates one of India’s first commercial-scale electrolyte production facility with a capacity of 2,000 MTA, which can support India’s current trial cell manufacturing lines as well as upcoming gigafactories up to 3 GWh. The greenfield site, being set up with SBI’s project loan, will add an additional 30,000 MTA capacity, which can support up to 30 GWh of cell production in India. SBI has been supporting Neogen Chemicals since its formation in 1989, through all its growth over the last 35 years and is now continuing the same partnership to support India’s battery industry. Nandida Village Goes Green! We successfully planted 2200 trees in Nandida Village, Vagra Taluka, Bharuch District! This initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Gujarat Ecology Society, Vadodara, aims to provide significant environmental benefits to Nandida and surrounding villages. Special thanks to the Government Primary School Nandida Principal, staff, students as well as the local residents and Gram Panchayat Nandida members for their enthusiastic support. It's inspiring to see young students embrace the go-green mindset at such a tender age. Together, we are creating a greener future for the 719 beneficiaries and ensuring a healthier environment for generations to come.
