The Government of Arunachal Pradesh and NITI Aayog recently organised a NeVolution workshop on “Improving Education KPIs for Northeastern States,” in Itanagar. Manoranjan Nayak, Executive Director of Reach to Teach Foundation, was invited as a panelist for the Technical Session on ‘Pedagogy and Modern Learning Techniques.’ He emphasised the need for a shift towards competency-based teaching and learning, highlighting the importance of contextualising teaching-learning resources to align with ground realities rather than relying on idealised assumptions. Manoranjan also stressed the importance of building a supportive ecosystem for teachers, which the foundation is actively pursuing. In his conclusion, he noted, "Solutions designed to create pockets of excellence do not work for scale; designing for scale requires a fundamentally different approach." Our stall at the event showcased our teaching and learning products. The content we have been creating specifically for schools in Arunachal Pradesh evoked a lot of interest and high footfalls. We have been working in partnership with NITI Aayog and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh since 2022 to bring children in Classes 1-12 up to grade appropriate learning levels. Ratna Viswanathan, CEO of Reach to Teach, moderated an insightful panel discussion on "What steps should be taken by Corporates & NGOs to improve synchronisation between the two" at the India CSR Awards organised by Brand Honchos. Ratna initiated the discussion with questions on whether legislatively mandating CSR in India had impacted the spirit of giving by making it a tick box exercise, the trust deficit between Not for Profits and Corporate India and managing Board/Senior Management expectation around impact from CSR activities within a short period when impact is driven largely by behaviour change. The discussion had an erudite panel of industry leaders: Rekha Pillai, Head CSR - Castrol India, Mudita Lall, Associate Director-ESG KPMG India, Manisha Patil (She/Her/Hers), Community Engagement and Volunteering Leader - Amazon India, and Bharat Chhabra, Chief - Social Impact Group - Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited.   The panel discussed critical issues impacting the CSR ecosystem, including balancing the legislative mandate of CSR with genuine intent, building trust between corporates and NGOs, and shifting the focus from quantitative metrics to lasting behavioural change in communities. Closing the discussion, Ratna emphasized the importance of collaboration and co-creation, highlighting that impactful programmes emerge when diverse stakeholders bring their unique skills, resources, and insights together to address the real needs of vulnerable communities.  #IndianCSRAwards #CSRLeadership #ReachtoTeach
