He emphasised the impact of the Chinese slowdown and the urgent need for anti-dumping regulations or higher tariffs to protect the interests of Indian manufacturers and investors. On responding to question about the tariff threat from the Trump administration, he stated that India-US relations have been progressing on a strong foundation and expressed hope for pragmatic decisions from both sides to address economic challenges. Manoj Joy of Sailor’s Society delivered an impactful session on mental health and well-being, stressing its significance in sustaining a demanding profession. Voluntary Health Services (VHS), continuing its mission to provide affordable healthcare, inaugurated its state-of-the-art Catheterisation Laboratory at a ceremony held recently. This significant initiative, supported by The Sanmar Group CSR Trust, will facilitate advanced cardiovascular treatments, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements. The Sanmar Group Cath Lab was inaugurated by Dr. V. Kamakoti, Director of IIT Madras, in the presence of senior dignitaries from VHS and The Sanmar Group. Vijay Sankar, Chairman of The Sanmar Group, addressed the audience, emphasising the longstanding partnership between the Group and VHS, built on a shared commitment to community welfare. He extended his best wishes to the team of doctors, technicians and staff, highlighting that while advanced equipment is essential, it is the efforts of the people that will drive the success of the facility.
