The biggest challenge in Supercapacitor production is balancing capacitance and equivalent series resistance (ESR) during the electrode coating process. The thickness, uniformity, and even the drying conditions of the coating can drastically impact the device's overall performance. Too much material, and ESR spikes; too little, and capacitance suffers.
