AbstractAbstract
[en] Configuration dependent Nilsson-Strutinsky cranking calculations (CNS) predict favoured band terminations near spin 35ℎ and unfavoured band termination near 45ℎ in 123Cs for different configurations. High-spin states in 123Cs were populated using 64Ni(64Ni,p4n) reaction at a beam energy of 265 MeV. The γ rays following the reaction were detected by the Gammasphere spectrometer. A new level scheme of the nucleus has been constructed using the coincidence relations. The spins of the observed levels have been derived from the measured DCO ratios. New bands have been observed and the previously known bands extended to higher spins up to spin 71/2ℎ. The observed bands agree well with the CNS predictions. (K.A.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Radioactive sources of 123125127129Ba obtained in the spallation reaction have been studied with Ge(Li), Si(Li), NaI(Tl) and plastic detectors. On the basis of γ-ray energies, intensities, energy sums and coincidence information, the decay scheme has been proposed for 127Ba. No high-spin isomer of 127Ba has been observed. The lifetimes of 5/2+→1/2+ transitions in 123125127129Cs have been measured. No evidence for the shape isomerism in 127Cs has been found. (Auth.)
