AbstractAbstract
[en] This report is aimed at showing the specific interest of the electromagnetic way of hypernuclei study which justifies its choice though the weak value of the cross sections. The different experimental methods currently in view are detailed: real photon, electroproduction at large angle and electroproduction by quasi-real photon at degree zero. Finally, conclusions to foresee of such a program are recalled and beam and experimental equipment characteristics are recalled
[fr]

AbstractAbstract
[en] These talks on experimental aspects of relativistic heavy ion collisions have been divided in three different subjects. First we start with an overview of present inclusive data. The essential features have been stressed out and are discussed in terms of simple phenomenological models. We then proceed to discuss two-particle correlation measurements. Large angle correlations are connected to the role of single nucleon-nucleon scattering in nucleus-nucleus collisions. Correlations at small relative impulse, a kind of interferometry measurement, are related to the size and the lifetime of the source that emits particles. Pion and proton measurements with their respective aspects are discussed separately. Some results on the production of unstable light nuclei and their connections to correlation measurements are also presented. The last subject deals with exclusive experiments that started with the new 4π electronic detectors. Global variable analysis and the measurement of a collective flow in heavy ion collisions are discussed in details. Finally we conclude with some indications of a new method, the so-called transverse momentum analysis. It should allow an experimental measurement of an essential quantity, the full triple differential cross section unaveraged over the reaction plane azimuthal angle

AbstractAbstract
[en] The author discusses the different important events, notably within the context of energy policy and in relationship with economical factors, which concern the nuclear sector and occurred within the past few years in the United States (since 2001). He describes the failure of the 'all-gas' strategy, the strengthening of the nuclear sector since 2001 (evolution of the stock availability, of operators, of production). He discusses the role of the federal State in the re-launching of nuclear energy by facilitating the licensing procedure for new reactors and by addressing the waste storage issue. He comments the adoption of the global bill on energy (EPAct 2005) and the freezing of the Yucca Mountain storage site. This last aspect promotes the interest in waste transmutation and in related programs, and the implementation of the GNEP (global nuclear energy partnership) which notably proposed an international approach to limit an uncontrolled proliferation of nuclear cycle technologies

AbstractAbstract
[en] Heavy ion beams up to 1.15 Gev/amu should soon be available at the Saturne II facility. In this prospect a small time projection chamber has been built which allows to reconstruct all the light charged particles (π,p,d...) tracks for large multiplicity events (approximately 40). As a first test of the experimental set up, some data taking has already started with 4He-beams at 400, 600 and 800 MeV/amu

AbstractAbstract
[en] This work ends a particularly detailed study on very inelastic collisions in 40A (280 MeV) + 58Ni reaction. The two experiments in coincidence (fragment-fragment and particle-fragment) which are this work basis, essentially experimental, are the following of the very precise inclusive measurements already done on this system. They allowed to precise many important aspects of the reaction mechanism. Conclusions from a precise analysis of the fragment kinematics near the mass symmetry is the new aspect of this study. Information implicitely contained in the two complementary fragment angular correlation width are particularly detailed. Concerning the particle-fragment coincidence experiment, a quantitative analysis method of the invariant cross sections (in the reaction plane) has been developed; it shows clearly what is the origin of the emitted particles. The result of a two-stage mechanism allows to interpret simply the anisotropy out-of-plane of the alpha particle emission. The individual spin has been obtained for the first time for each of the two fragments of very inelastic collisions in nearly all the mass asymmetry domain

AbstractAbstract
[en] 'Diogene' is the name of a 4π solid angle detector, based on a Time Projection Chamber (TPC), designed to perform exclusive measurements of charged particles emitted in central collisions of relativistic heavy ions. Exclusive measurements of all charged particles emitted in central collisions of relativistic heavy ions are becoming more and more necessary in this field of nuclear physics in order to answer some crucial questions such as: what is the degree of compression achieved in these collisions. What is the behavior of nuclear matter at high degree of excitation as well as compression. The possibility of handling high multiplicities up to 40 or 60; a momentum measurement of all particles, with not too bad a resolution, up to about 1.5 GeV/c; a good particle identification between π+-, p, d, t ..
