AbstractAbstract
[en] Calculations of the operation cycles for a D-T Tokamak fusion reactor are presented. Equations of energy balance and plasma particle balance are solved for variuos assumptions on plasma thermal insulation. It is assumed that the distributions of plasma temperature, concentrations and current density over the cross-section are flat, and that both the ion and electron temperatures are equal. It is shown that impurities appreciably influence the ignition and rates of fusion reaction. Restrictions imposed by β limits are considered. Rate of nuclear power output of a fusion reactor can be made more uniform by using additional injection of fuel. Certain considerations on the reactor parameter optimization are prsented

[en] Plasma heating in large tokamak installations of the 80's generation is analyzed on the basis of unidimensional equations of the energy balance. Typical measurements of the examined installations: R = 400 cm, a = 150 cm. ''Pseudoclassical'' and ''Bohm'' thermal conductivity models are used in the calculations. Plasma heating by injection of a beam of high-speed neutrals, cooling by the inflow of cold neutrals from vacuum, transfer of energy from particles to the plasma, and cyclotron emission and bremsstrahlung are also considered

AbstractAbstract
[en] The density and spectrum of neutrals are calculated with the aim of determining the ion temperature of optically thick plasma from the charge exchange of the neutrals at the centre of a plasma filament. The effect of the following factors on the spectrum of the emerging neutrals was taken into account: 1) the neutrals density at the centre of the filament is much less (by 3-4 orders) than on the periphery, and when the optical thicknesses are large it is determined by recombination; 2) even energetic neutrals with an energy of 5-10 keV experience several charge exchanges in their flight from the filament centre to the boundary and emerge from plasma with an altered energy. The asymptotic formulas for model problems were obtained, and the results of numerical calculations for experiments on the T-10 and ''Alcator'' devices are presented. The calculated corrections to the ion temperature measured are 10-15% at neutrals energies of approximately 8 keV. The recombination effect substantially increases the neutrals density in the central layers of plasma. The algorithms proposed for processing experimental spectra make it possible to restore the temperature profile from the spectrum of the charge-exchange neutrals and to take into account the finite optical thickness of plasma, and also to use the information contained in the low-energy part of the spectrum
