AbstractAbstract
[en] The audit suitcase was proposed by BESEL to introduce in the solar energy market a new tool which can make an evaluation of solar installation efficiency. Non-invasive sensors and low power components permit both easy installation of the devices and data storage for a period as long as ten days. This project was funded by the contract JOR3-CT98-7030 of the European Union JOULE III program. (Author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this work is presented a space saving, simple and useful device for dividing the high voltage supplies in several channels and monitoring an excess, over a desired threshold, of leakage current in the 0.25-10 mA range. An optical alarm is provided together with a digital signal for external equipments. The system is based on the use of low cost standard optical couplers with darlington output, with up to 7 KV isolation, and comparators with adjustable trigger threshold. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] We discuss in this paper a method for track reconstruction using CCD arrays in high event rate experiments. The method is based on the correlation of the information obtained from the continuous readout in opposite directions of two CCDs placed close together and the time at which a minimum ionizing particle crosses the CCDs. This time is obtained by a trigger device and is measured in units of the CCD line clock. The technique is described in detail and the results of experimental tests, performed at the CERN SPS on a prototype using commercial arrays TH7882 are discussed. Efficiencies larger than 95% have been obtained in the reconstruction of space points of beam tracks. The reconstruction algorithm is able to filter out noisy pixels up to ≅ 0.1% of the total number, thus allowing reliable operation at room temperature. These results show that both the effective readout dead time and the generation of ghost tracks can be significantly reduced. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The project to design and build a neuro physiological signal recording and analysis system has been submitted to different research plans. This is a new diagnostic tool that is especially useful in cases of in apparent pathological hyper synchronization that usually has fatal consequences in Intensive Care Units (ICU). It is an electronic design incorporating advanced mathematical techniques for an online analysis of the records. It will be called n-MAVEC because it uses various (n) analytical algorithms. The Madrid La Paz University Hospital's clinical neuro physiology service, one of the most advanced medical services in this specialty, is directly participating in this project. (Author) 22 refs.
