AbstractAbstract
[en] Some probability problems are considered occurring in nuclear physics. Fruitfulness is shown of the probability approach to the solution of problems for calculating buffer storage in periodic pulse loading as for image recognition in chamber data processing in high energy physics. Examples are cited to prove the fruitfulness of the probability approach

AbstractAbstract
[en] A method of relative ionization estimation is studied using spiral reader data of bubble chamber film measurements. The necessary functional dependence development is followed by two statistical approaches to the estimation of a hypothesis about the bubble density and results of the test handling of a few events measured at CERN spiral reader

AbstractAbstract
[en] In some problems of the mathematical theory of particle counters, film or filmless measurements of track ionization in high energy physics, queueing theory, random walks, etc., the classes of semirecurrent and m-semirecurrent events appear. In the paper the numerical estimates of the probabilistic formulae corresponding to the probability of the first occurrence of an event at the nth trial are studied. Very precise and computationally convenient formulae, are presented. The application of the theory to the counters with prolonging dead time and an illustrative numerical example are given

[en] Method of scanning data conversion from coordinate detectors to linear track-elements is suggested for the problem of preliminary processing of experimental results in high energy physics. The method is based on study of measurement error space and construction of criterion of track detection, based on the difference of distribution functions of some random variables. 4 refs

AbstractAbstract
[en] Program pseudo-random number generators (PNG) intended for the test of control equipment and communication channels are considered. In the case of 8-bit microcomputers it is necessary to assign 4 words of storage to allocate one random number. The proposed economical algorithms of the random number generation are based on the idea of the ''mixing'' of such quarters of the preceeding random number to obtain the next one. Test results of the PNG are displayed for two such generators. A FORTRAN variant of the PNG is presented along with a program realizing the PNG made on the base of the INTEL-8080 autocode

AbstractAbstract
[en] A structure of the module program of ''Hydra'' system is described. It allows one to estimate quickly and efficiently a quality of events measured on a film for their further using to recognize tracks. A speed of algorithm is due to the application of method of pattern recognition on the fiducial plane. This program is used on CDC-6500 computer for selecting good events after the program of data filtering from the spiral reader digitizer. Constant selection, mode of result acquisition as hystograms and choice of processing stage can carry out in process of program generation from a special text file. Processing of a 5-body event takes 0.03-0.4 s of central processor unit on the computer. This time depends on the print type and mistakes in data measurements, labels or topology

AbstractAbstract
[en] The functional relation between the fast slant transformation (FST) and the fast Walsh-Hadamard transformation (FWHT) for dimensions N=2sup(n), n=2.6 is considered in order to develop the algorithms of transition coefficient calculation. The FST is effectively used for digital processing of two-dimensional images. The text and description of the HASLAN program computing the transition matrices in the case of the direct transformation and the inverse one are given. The results of test computations on the TEST program are presented. The computations performed have shown the advantage of application of FWHT for hardware implementation of the direct FST and inadvisability of this method for the inverse FST

AbstractAbstract
[en] A neural-network (NN) approach for neutrino interaction vertex reconstruction in the OPERA experiment with the help of the Target Tracker (TT) detector is described. A feed-forward NN with the standard back propagation option is used. The energy functional minimization of the network is performed by the method of conjugate gradients. Data preprocessing by means of cellular automaton algorithm is performed. The Hough transform is applied for muon track determination and the robust fitting method is used for shower axis reconstruction. A comparison of the proposed approach with earlier studies, based on the use of the neural network package SNNS, shows their similar performance. The further development of the approach is underway

AbstractAbstract
[en] A rapid method of deriving random numbers, distributed accordinq to Poisson's law, based on the count of the random number of product terms is proposed. The random value algorithm has been derived. Standard program operation, realizing this algorithm on the BESM-6 electronic computer, shows that on the average it operates ten times faster than a generator based on the tabular method

AbstractAbstract
[en] Mathematical methods of data filtering and principles of the FILTR program organization are considered. FILTR is intended for processing the data taken by JINR spiral reader from stereofilms of α-p interactions exposed on 1 m hydrogen bubble chamber. The suggested data structure optimizes the program speed and needed computer memory. The modular structure of the program increases its reliability and mobility. It simplifies professes of a filtering parameter adjustment and the program modernization. The main characteristics of the program are presented
