AbstractAbstract
[en] A complete expansion up to order 1/m2 for one- and two-photon matrix elements is derived keeping also into account the behaviour of the wave functions under Lorentz transformations. Lowest-order binding-energy corrections are inserted in the verification of the low-energy theorem for Compton scattering. Gauge invariance is ensured by extensive use of the minimal substitution

AbstractAbstract
[en] A relativistic two-body wave equation has been adapted for the study of nuclear systems. A specific One Boson Exchange model has been constructed. The introduction of the Δ-resonance degrees of freedom in our formalism is discussed. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The most general expression for the spin-averaged Compton amplitude of off-mass-shell photons is briefly discussed and the terms are individuated which, in the low-energy limit and for q2→0, contribute to the electric (α) and magnetic (β) nucleon polarizabilities. These amplitudes are connected with the structure functions usually defined in the deep elastic scattering and, through dispersion relations sum rules for the polarizabilities are deduced. The well-known forward sum rule for α+β is reobtained and, moreover, a sum rule for α, expressed in terms of the parameter R=sigmasub(L)/sigmasub(UPSILON), is proposed. With the available SLAC determinations for R, this rule yields the value sigmasub(p) approximately 9.3.10-4 fm3 obtained with a fit of all the available experimental data. Similarly a backward sum rule for α-β is proposed, even though its numerical evaluation is strongly dependent on the t-channel contribution. Nevertheless, within the present experimental knowledge, this rule gives values compatible with the previous evaluations giving αsub(p)>β sub(p)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A new harmonic-oscillator basis for trinucleon ground-state calculations is introduced, featuring different oscillator radii for the two intrinsic variables. This basis allows charge-dependent interactions to be handled and seems to yield a better convergence with respect to the previously used oscillator bases. A test calculation with the Reid soft-core interaction is presented. The resulting (extrapolated) triton binding energy is 7.3+-0.2 MeV, and the first minimum in the 3He charge form factor occurs at q2=13.1 fm-2. (Auth.)
