AbstractAbstract
[en] Experimental data are briefly reviewed on the following main directions of the Tokamak program studies obtaining current stationary-flowing over a plasma; studying limiting values of pressure and plasma stability margin, physical causes leading to elevated energy losses and losses of particles from a plasma, purification of plasma from impurities. A possibility is shown of obtaining energetically economical and relatively pure modes using the method of correct plasma filament formation by redistribution of commissioned capacities and cooling plasma periphery by radiation

AbstractAbstract
[en] Investigation on the runaway electron instability continued. The longitudinal energy of the runaway electrons submitted to Bremsstrahlung due to instability was determined using the microwave plasma radiation. As previously at low densities, the instability is shown to involve the appearance of a small amount of energetic protons. During the instability growth the longitudinal energy of runaway electrons is given partially to the transverse degree of freedom of these electrons and partially to the bulk plasma

AbstractAbstract
[en] The study of the instability of runaway electrons on the Tokamak TM-3 is continued. The longitudinal energy of runaway electrons that have undergone deceleration during instability is estimated from measurements of superhigh frequency radiation of plasma. A connection was found between the effect of a small fraction of energy protons (observed previously with a low plasma concentration) and the instability being studied. As instability develops, the longitudinal energy of runaway electrons is partially transformed to the transverse degree of freedom of these electrons and is partially transmitted to the basic plasma component

AbstractAbstract
[en] From a study of Bremsstrahlung emitted between 2.5 and 300keV by a beam of runaway electrons inside the plasma it was possible to estimate the quantity of runaway electrons, the proportion of toroidal current they transport and the quantity of impurities in the plasma. The measurement was calibrated by adding a known amount of krypton to the hydrogen

AbstractAbstract
[en] Radial profile of current longitudinal density was set in the T-10 tokamak experiments using generation of induction-free currents (ECCD). The conditions of stabilization of saw-tooth oscillations were determined. Their peculiarities near the stabilization conditions were studied. Modes with S < 0 width in plasma central part and q(r) > 1 were obtained. At S < 0 conditions one could observe transition into the mode of the improved retention. 6 refs.; 11 figs

AbstractAbstract
[en] A study of X-radiation from the volume of plasma in a TM-3 Tokamak in the region from 2.5 to 300 KeV produced by a beam of accelerated electrons enabled the evalution of the concentration of such electrons, the portion of the toroidal current transported by them, and the concentration of impurities in the plasma. The following discharge conditions were investigated: current 15 KA, electron concentration 1.5 x 1012 cm-3, electron temperature 300 eV, longitudinal magnetic field 10 to 15 koe. The measurements were carried out during the stationary stage of the discharge for 4.5 msec at a discharge duration of 10 msec. In order to enable the estimation of the concentration of accelerated electrons and of the toroidal current transported by them, hydrogen was mixed with a dosed addition of crypton of approximately o.1%. The spectra of X-radiation from the plasma under different conditions were presented

AbstractAbstract
[en] To investigate strongly differing discharge regimes at tokamaks with minor difference of the given parameters, a series of experiments at T-10 tokamak is conducted in the regimes with low currents. It is shown, that tokamak regimes can be subdivided into two types. In one of them, under more peaking parameter profiles, transfer coefficients approach neoclassical values, with the exception of those characterizing the electron balance. In the other, on the contrary, under minor diffusion and electron pinching rate coefficients, other transfer effects become strongly anomalous. Effect of auxiliary heating at C-resonance frequency on the transfer effects is considered. Assumptions, concerning the nature of the observed regularities are presented

AbstractAbstract
[en] This work is devoted to the study of one of the pressing problems of thermonuclear fusion: the transition to the region of enhanced plasma confinement observed in tokamaks. It is shown that when such a transition occurs under certain conditions an intermediate self-excited regime can occur, characterized by the loss of fast electrons to the chamber wall. The role of the beam of fast electrons in bringing about the L-H transition is investigated. 4 refs., 5 figs
