AbstractAbstract
[en] The magnetic properties of nanocrystalline Fe73,5Nb4.5Cr5B16Cu1 alloy have been studied by neutron depolarization (ND) and magnetization measurements in a temperature range between 2 and 300 K. The obtained data have confirmed the strong magnetic hardening at low temperatures characterized by rapid increase of coercive field by nearly two orders of magnitude below ∼30 K. We show that this hardening goes along with the significant irreversibility between field-cooling (FC) and zero-field cooling magnetization at low fields. The three-dimensional neutron depolarization analysis allowed us to characterize simultaneously the macroscopic magnetization, the magnetic domain size and texture. It is shown that a significant role in the magnetic behavior at low temperatures is played by the presence of spin freezing effects

AbstractAbstract
[en] The reduced probabilities of the E2 intraband and interband transitions in even-even erbium isotopes (A=158 to 170) and N=94 isotones (A=158 to 164) are analyzed using perturbation theory. The mixing wave functions and different values of intrinsic quadrupole moments were taken into account of ground, beta- and gamma-vibrational states. (author). 18 figs., 16 tabs., 52 refs

AbstractAbstract
[en] We present a Raman spectroscopic analysis of the bonding properties of organic molecules on Ag(111) surfaces as a model system for organic semiconductor/metal contacts. The planar molecule 3,4,9,10-perylene-tetracarboxylicacid-dianhydride (PTCDA) is used in the present study due to its high electronic mobility and thermal stability. Vibrational signatures of the first monolayer in direct contact with the metal, especially the modes at 1310 and 1575 cm-1, are found to be shifted to lower frequencies. First principles calculations result in corresponding mode patterns, which are essentially located in the centre of the molecule thus indicating the area, where major metal interaction takes place. Furthermore, upon annealing at 450 K the vibrational frequencies of the second monolayer are modified with respect to bulk PTCDA, which reflect particular changes of the bonding situation of this layer. For subsequent layers bulk-like behaviour is observed

AbstractAbstract
[en] Using an anti-Compton spectrometer, the gamma ray spectrum of 166mHo was remeasured with the aim to reveal new Low-intensity gamma transitions since 166mHo is a recommended calibration standard for Ge(Li) or HPGe detectors. Altogether, 61 gamma transitions were assigned to the 166mHo decay. All of them were established in the decay scheme. (author). 2 figs., 2 tabs., 16 refs

AbstractAbstract
[en] In order to study the energy levels of the magnetic excitations in antiferromagnetic Co0, the cross-section for inelastic n-scattering of Co0 powder at various scattering angles theta and energy transfer from 15 to 70 MeV. For large theta purely nuclear scattering is observed, while for small theta the cross section is predominantly due to magnetic scattering with some nuclear contributions. The cross-section shows several peaks, which have not yet been observed. By comparison of the results of pure CoO and of Cosub(0.8)Nisub(0.2)O two peaks in the cross-section can be assigned to single ion-like transitions in the ground state multiplet of Co2+ in the antiferromagnetic phase. The parameters of a simple molecular field model are discussed. (Auth.)
