📢 Child #sexual abuse can be preventable. One thing is certain: without talking about it, nothing will change. So, it's time to talk about it! Prevent and Protect through Support (#2PS) is an EU-funded project that brings prevention to the forefront aiming to prevent harm to children before it occurs. This project will lead to a better understanding of what leads to harmful behaviour, informing and educating people who fear they might offend against children about the support services and rehabilitation options they have and sharing the best practices for guidance, therapy and treatment methods with important stakeholders. Deep Blue is part of the Consortium as the #Communication and #Dissemination leader. Our technical expertise, with a team of psychologists, sociologists and communication experts, is heavily involved in the coordination and design of communication campaigns to raise social awareness about the importance of the prevention of child sexual abuse before it happens. The goal is to start building cognizance of the necessity of prevention to end violence against children, also by reducing social stigma around the topic. Building social awareness on such a difficult topic is a challenge. The #PreventionIsChildProtection campaign focuses on sharing one fundamental and simple message that, despite the complexity and controversies of the topic, we can all agree on: it should never happen in the first place. To help people understand the #prevention of child sexual abuse, we conceived an awareness pathway through a dedicated webpage with more materials in different formats that provide more knowledge and answer questions potentially raised by the video. Watch the video and visit the Raising Awareness webpage to learn more about the initiative. 👉 Link to the video: https://lnkd.in/e9fCz4Zm 👉 Link to the Raising Awareness webpage: https://lnkd.in/eU_XM65N #PreventionIsChildProtection
